Our story

A family in Glen Eira, trying to do our bit — here’s how we got here.

The family on a familiar Glen Eira street

Choosing Glen Eira

[CONFIRM: open on a real, small local scene — the walk to the shops, a kid’s first day at a [local] school, a neighbour who brought a meal that first week.] We reckon the measure of a family is what it puts back into the street it lives on. Like a lot of families here, ours started somewhere else — but Glen Eira is home, and the values we live by are the ones this community shares.

Putting down roots

[CONFIRM: everyday local life — the [club] sideline on Saturdays, the school community, a coffee on [Centre Road / Koornang Road]. Honestly, we didn’t really know what we were doing that first year.]

The things we care about

[CONFIRM: the handful of things you keep turning up for — greener streets, a hand at the local pantry, a fair start for kids in local sport. Told as lived, not listed.]

Showing up

[CONFIRM: one specific, true, modest story of helping a neighbour or a local cause — the emotional heart of the page. You’re the supporting cast; the people you helped alongside are the story.]

What we’re raising our kids on

[CONFIRM: the values you hope stick, told through parenting, not a manifesto.] This street gave our kids a lot — we want to keep doing our bit for Glen Eira, for the long run.
